Roasted Laver in Peppered Bean Paste

   Laver is a specialty of Ongjin in South Hwanghae Province.
   It was a folk custom to eat boiled rice wrapped in laver or vegetable leaves on the day before First Full Moon Day (a folk holiday).
   The roasted laver in peppered bean paste prepared in the Ongjin area of South Hwanghae Province was counted best.
   To prepare the dish, laver is applied several times with thick paste of glutinous rice flour and peppered bean paste, sprayed with sesame powder and dried, then griddled and served in cuts.
   It was made as a special dish for guests and also for usual diet.
