Hamhung Starch Noodle

   From olden times South Hamgyong Province was renowned for its wide variety of potato starch noodles, and the food prepared in Hamhung was the most favoured.
   It was made with the same ingredients and pressing methods as those prepared in the areas of Hyesan, Samsu and Kapsan. It was served in beef soup, whereas the latter in soybean and perilla soup.
   The noodles were garnished with beef, pork, chicken, bracken and so on.
